ECHOES IN THE CAVE

Echoes in the Cave / 2023

In the infinite game of life, humanity oscillates between variability and constancy. Socio-political storms create waves that reverberate through collective memory, bringing forth concepts like equality, freedom, and justice. Art acts as a compass amidst this flux, resonating with the societal memory through various mediums—canvas, paper, digital, or sculpture—reflecting humanity’s essence. Art recalls forgotten narratives, surfaces buried emotions, and touches on the common threads of humanity. It strikes a balance between variability and constancy, nurturing society’s memory, fostering emotional connections, and reinforcing shared ideals.

In recent years, visual data derived from artificial intelligence’s interpretations of socio-political events have shaped the simulation within this artwork. These generated images, visualized using the international sign language alphabet ‘Gestuno,’ create a new communication model. “Echoes in the Cave” situates the viewer at the center of these visuals, transforming the experience into a unique phenomenon.
