SILENT LINGUA FRANCA
In many parts of the world, slogans are chanted during social movements as a form of rhetoric aimed at changing existing systems. But who are these slogans directed towards? How do they function? What kind of impact do they have? This work explores these questions by reproducing an action performed with the “Gestuno” alphabet of international sign language. It transforms this action into a structure that can be perceived visually rather than auditorily.
